World Parks Day
Today is World Parks Day. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our parks and green spaces. The day is organised by Parks for Life, an international initiative created by the International Parks and Green Space Alliance (IUPGSA).
Australia has 18 National Parks. They cover over 24 million hectares, one of the largest national park systems in the world.
We are not just lucky to live where we do, surrounded by National Park in the Blue Mountains World Heritage area, we are greatly priviledged. We are never far from the National Park in our city, it’s literally at the back door for many of us.
Make sure you go somewhere that you can get a good view of nature’s bounty and quietly give thanks.
