So yesterday you had some glam shots of the new library at Katoomba.
Meanwhile, over in the old library, the staff is beavering away, packing up all the collections in preparation for getting access to their new library next week (fingers crossed). They are working really hard, filling more boxes than we can keep up with really. These have to be carefully stacked in Dewey/Alphabetical order and in the right collection or getting them on the right shelf in the right area will be a nightmare. It has to be all very carefully thought out.
Here’s what they’ve been up to:
- The current Katoomba Library closed on Monday 15 October and will re-open in its new site on Saturday 17 November. During this time, it will not be possible to place holds on any items in the Katoomba collection. We apologise for any inconvenience.
