Don’t forget to come along to hear local resident and Holocaust survivor George Winston at Katoomba Library this Thursday 8th August from 2pm. He will be joined by Personal Historian, Megan Wynne-Jones (who also happens to be the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Café Poet). They will be sharing about the publication, George’s Story. This booklet outlines George’s life from his birth in Poland to his eventual relocation to Australia, at the age of 16.
George’s Story is one of positivity and selflessness in the face of adversity. George’s passion for helping others is reflected both in his story and in his person, so come along for this event and make the most of the opportunity to meet George and Megan.
Copies of George’s Story will be available for sale on the day, with proceeds benefiting the Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group.
Afternoon tea will be provided. All are welcome to this FREE event, but bookings are appreciated. Please call 4780 5750 or visit any library branch.
