Don’t miss the 2016 return to the Library by retired army reserve Lieutenant Colonel Peter Sweeney who will this time, present an exceptional talk on the tactics, strategies and moving story of the Battle of Fromelles to mark the Centenary of WWI.

Peter Sweeney is a member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides and has been in high demand for his talks during the first year of the Centenary (2015).

The Battle of Fromelles was the first battle of the AIF on the Western Front and lasted from 19 July 1916 to 20 July 1916.
